A Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of Lusaka, Fr Gabriel Mwanamwalye, says the Church should stop giving politicians the microphone to speak to congregants to avoid creating confusion. And Prophet Salifyanji Masase of the Spirit Ministries Church says the clergy must not receive money from politicians, as it may influence their decisions. Meanwhile, Bishop Steven Nkhata of Burning Bush Ministries says many consecrated men and women are dining with politicians, hence compromising the Church’s prophetic voice.
