AN angry mob of marketeers at Namwandwe market in Mansa protested yesterday after a UPND market chairperson confronted a hawker who was playing a song titled ‘ubunga nabalunda’. Police have confirmed the arrest of 45 protesters, adding that one officer injured himself while attempting to throw a rubber ball grenade through the window of a police vehicle. Police have narrated that when the UPND market chairperson confronted the hawker, PF members told him to leave the hawker alone, stating that he had the right to play any song anywhere.
