THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says it recorded two serious incidents involving suspected political cadres disrupting the electoral process at two polling stations during the ward by-elections held on Friday. ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the commission will summon all parties that took part in the by-elections in the two affected wards, and those found wanting will be dealt with. In a statement, Saturday, Kasaro said at Machavika Polling Station, suspected political cadres used pepper spray on election officials, disrupting the result announcement process.
