THE Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) has awarded additional 573 student loans to eligible individuals across five universities. The universities include Mulungushi, Kwame Nkrumah, Chalimbana, Palabana and Kapasa Makasa University. In a statement, Thursday, HELSB Corporate Communications and Customer Services Manager Chiselwa Kawanda disclosed that additional loans had been funded through internal savings, with some awards replacing students who either declined the offer or opted for part-time studies. “The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) has awarded additional student loans to 573 eligible students across five universities.
