THE Office of the Secretary to the Treasury has revealed that K4.1 billion was spent on debt service for both domestic and external arrears in September. In a statement Sunday, the Office of the Secretary to the Treasury also revealed that government released K246.3 million as CDF and community projects within the same month. “In September, 2024, the Ministry of Finance and National Planning released K15.8 billion to finance developmental programmes and public service delivery. Of this amount, K5.1 billion was released for transfers, subsidies and social benefit, K1.9 billion for the implementation of various developmental programmes and general operations, while K524.5 million went to capital expenditure.
