FORMER president Edgar Lungu claims that some judicial officers have approached him to complain that they are operating under interference from State House. Lungu says the UPND government should allow the judiciary and law enforcement agencies to do their jobs, as he did, to restore confidence in these institutions. And Lungu, who expressed support for Donald Trump, says the US should invite opposition leaders and ask for their views regarding how the current government is handling issues of the rule of law, good governance and democracy. When asked in an interview during the US Election Day celebrations about the arrest and imprisonment of his former ministers, Lungu said they are all victims of political abuse and interference in the judiciary....
