POLICE have insisted that Petauke Independent MP Emmanuel Jay Banda will be extradited to Zambia. Inspector General of Police Graphel Musamba has disclosed that Solicitor General Marshal Muchende has approved the request for his extradition and that preparations to finalise and transmit the required documents to INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Harare are currently underway. On Wednesday, Minister of Home Affairs Jack Mwiimbu said Banda had been apprehended in Zimbabwe where he was hiding in that country’s capital, Harare, after escaping from lawful custody on August 4, 2024.
