A NUMBER of stakeholders have proposed that for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to remain independent, the Director General should be appointed by the board. The Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the ACC, recently held a two-day National Consultative Meeting to discuss the revision of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act No. 3 of 2012. Different stakeholders including government ministries, media houses, civil society organisations, law enforcement agencies and international partners, among others, attended the meeting.
