HEALTH Minister Dr Elijah Muchima has refuted claims suggesting that the National Heart Hospital in Lusaka has been sold. Speaking during the commissioning of the newly constructed and installed Medical Oxygen Production Plant at Kalindawalo General Hospital in Petauke, Saturday, Dr Muchima said the new plant would play a crucial role in providing a reliable supply of medical oxygen to hospitals in Eastern Province. “My ministry has signed a significant grant amounting to 349 million dollars with the Global Fund, which will support our efforts to control HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria from 2024 to 2026.
