AS we stated yesterday, the decision by the State to enter a consent judgement with former DPP Mutembo Nchito and to compensate him for the illegal removal from office has not settled well with some citizens. This is understood. After his dramatic arrest and detention, and the subsequent appointment of a new DPP, whatever happened at Mutembo’s tribunal became of little importance to many people. This is why they don’t appreciate what the State has done to end this matter.
