MR Anthony Mukanda, the General Secretary for the Secondary Schools Teachers Union of Zambia (SESTUZ), recently called for the suspension of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) examinations until a well-structured mechanism is put in place. Mr Mukanda says the GCE regime is largely responsible for the collapse of the education system in Zambia.
