TOMORROW, the Minister of Energy will be delivering a ministerial statement on the controversies surrounding the contracts that the government has been awarding to Oil Marketing Companies to supply Low Sulphur Diesel through the TAZAMA Pipeline under the Open Access Regime. Minister Makozo Chikote, under the directive of the Speaker of the National Assembly, will be expected to explain what has been happening in the sector, and specifically respond to concerns around the single sourcing of Agro Fuel and the monopolised usage of the TAZAMA pipeline.
