Zesco United search for the perfect send off this Friday when they visit promoted City of Lusaka in a scheduled FAZ Super Division Week 7 game at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

The match will come two days before Zesco fly-out to Sudan ahead of next Wednesday evenings’ 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group C match against Al Hilal Obied.

Zesco also face City hunting for their second successive competitive victory after beating Egyptian club Smouha 1-0 on May 13 in Ndola in the two sides opening Group C match.

That win also ended Zesco’s three-match winless run that saw them lose 1-0 away at Napsa Stars and draw with Nkana and Green Buffaloes, all in league engagements.

Victory on Friday will go some way to ensuring Zesco are well and truly back on the winning trail.

Furthermore, victory on Friday at City will also see Zesco sneak to the summit of the table displacing Lumwana Radiants only on goal difference.

But Lumwana could reclaim top spot 24 hours later if they draw or beat Nchanga Rangers in Lumwana.

Zesco are 3rd on 11 points, two behind Zanaco and three points adrift of Lumwana.
