ENERGY Minister Peter Kapala says the reported shortage of fuel in Chipata was as a result of diesel being mixed with petrol at two filling stations allegedly belonging to Mount Meru. In an interview, Kapala said he was hopeful that the fuel situation would soon normalise as some tankers were headed there. “Yes I’m aware and there was some contamination, I think it’s Mount Meru on two service stations where they mixed diesel and petrol. I don’t know whether they poured petrol in the diesel tank or diesel in the petrol tank, but it’s either of the two.
