THE Energy Regulation Board says it is waiting for government’s decision on the status of the tax waivers which were scheduled for three months ending month end of June. In April, Cabinet approved the temporary suspension of Excise Duty and Zero Rating of Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel for three months in a bid to cushion consumers from the adverse impact of increased international oil prices.
