POLICE in Lusaka have shot and wounded a 26-year-old suspected ex-convict who allegedly charged at them with a machete during an operation targeting criminals linked to a series of break-ins in Kalikiliki and Mtendere East. The suspect, identified as Patrick Moyo, was shot during a police operation conducted between 03:00 hours and 04:00 hours on Sunday in Kalikiliki Compound. In a statement, Sunday, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Chipo Kaitisha said the suspect was found hiding in his bedroom with gunshot wounds to the chest and right hand and is currently receiving medical attention under police guard.
