PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema’s Special Assistant for Economic Affairs, Jito Kayumba, says the dewatering process at Shaft 28 is progressing well and the pumped water has been certified by ZEMA and others to be utilised for irrigation, among other uses. Kayumba has disclosed that Mopani Copper PLC has commenced plans to sink two new shafts and build a concentrator at a total cost of $400 million.
