THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased the price of petrol from K28 to K29.18 per litre and diesel from K23.13 to K25.02 per litre for the month of September. The ERB has also adjusted upwards the prices of kerosene and Jet A-1 from K21.98 to K23.64 and K23.94 to K25.83, respectively per litre. In a statement, Sunday, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda said that the hike in fuel pump prices was due to the depreciation of the Kwacha. “Since the last fuel price review on 31st July 2025, the Kwacha depreciated against the United States Dollar by 2.50 percent, from K23.23/US$ to K23.81/US$.
