Hundreds of UPND supporters are awaiting Magistrate David Simusamba’s arrival at the Lusaka Magistrates Court hoping that he would finally deliver the much anticipated ruling in the treason case involving Hakainde Hichilema today.

Although the case was scheduled to begin at 12:00 hours, the supporters arrived as early as 07:00 hours to secure seats in the courtroom but a few unlucky ones were kicked out of their seats by senior UPND party officials.

By around 13:00 hours, defense lawyers were conferring with HH and his co-accused and magistrate Simusamba had not yet entered the courtroom.
