FINANCE Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that he doesn’t own the infamous 51 houses in Chalala area, and is not related to the accused in the matter, Charles Loyana. This follows the defence’s decision to subpoena Dr Musokotwane and former president Edgar Lungu’s daughter, Tasila, to clarify some media reports suggesting that the Finance Minister and Tasila were the owners of the houses. However, Tasila declined to testify. Defence lawyer Willis Muhanga says Tasila declined on the basis that the former first family “feel they are still being followed as a family”.
