FORMER president Edgar Lungu’s special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda, his wife and sister-in-law have asked the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court to grant them bail pending their appeal before the Lusaka High Court. On Wednesday, Magistrate Dominic Makalicha convicted and sentenced Chanda, Mable Nakaundi and Ruth Nakaundi to seven months simple imprisonment for the offence of obstructing ACC officers. He also sentenced the trio to a fine of K135 for the offence of use of insulting language.
