THE National Sports Council of Zambia has revived the annual sports awards.

Speaking to journalists in Lusaka yesterday, council chairperson Mwamba Kalenga announced that the 2016 sports annual awards would take place on April 28, 2017 in Lusaka.

“I want to announce that the 2016 sports annual awards will take place in April right here in Lusaka. We shall have a technical committee which will comprise of the media that will shortlist the winners,” said Kalenga.

And council vice chairperson Emmanuel Katebe said NSCZ would invite President Edgar Lungu to officiate at the awards ceremony.

He appealed to corporate bodies to sponsor the event.
