Chipolopolo striker Mwape Musonda is poised to scope South Africa’s Premier Soccer League Golden (PSL) boot award after just one season in the league.
The hitman who plies his trade with PSL side Black Leopard has scored 15 goals so far this season while the chasing pack is yet to reach double figures.
Musonda has impressed at his club so much such that he is also being considered for the club’s player of the season award.
The Zambian striker is however not popular with the locals having featured for the senior Chipolopolo squad only once, during the thrilling 4-1 defeat of Namibia in the final qualification game for the Egypt 2019 AFCON at National heroes’ stadium in Lusaka.
