THE netball national team yesterday suffered its first defeat at the ongoing PacificAuS netball Series after losing 59-47 to defending Champions, Tonga. Meanwhile, Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu says the government is proud of the performance of the team at the tournament so far. As it was expected, Tonga started the game blazing, edging the Lazarus Tembo drilled side 18-8 in the first quarter. Zambia upped its game in the second quarter to reduce the margin and go into the halftime break with scores 31-24 in favour of Tonga. The two teams continued to entertain the fans that had throanged the centre with end-to-end action to close the scores in the third quarter at 44-35 before the defending champions sealed victory...
