FLYWEIGHT boxer Patrick Chinyemba cruised to the quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics qualifying tournament with a 5-0 unanimous win against Yassine Issufo of Mozambique. Zambia has had a tough go at the African qualifying tournament in Dakar, Senegal, with only three out of eight boxers making the quarter-finals. The enterprising Chinyemba entered the ring blazing with confidence and landing a good combination of punches that sent his opponent to the canvas twice in the first three rounds, but Yassine managed to beat the counts on all occasions before losing by unanimous decision.
