ZESCO Ndola Girls have produced one of the shocks of the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifier after staging a remarkable comeback to defeat defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the semifinals at the UJ AW Muller Stadium in Johannesburg yesterday. Two second-half goals from striker Penelope Mulubwa and super-sub Fridah Kabwe inspired the Ndola side, who came into the knockout stage as best losers, to reach their first-ever final in the prestigious regional tournament.
