Minister of Home Affairs Steven Kampyongo says it is an insult to Zambians for anyone to think that poverty and hunger caused the stampede at OYDC yesterday which claimed eight lives.

Kampyongo was responding to a question from Monze UPND member of parliament Jack Mwiimbu who wanted to know whether the stampede was caused by an illegality or hunger.

At the time of this writing, Kampyongo was still responding to questions on the floor of the House.
