UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda says UPND’s overall performance in all by-elections shows how strong the party is becoming. The ruling UPND scooped Mtilizi ward seat in the Local Government by-elections held in Nyimba Constituency, Eastern Province scoring 2,152 votes. Returning Officer Stephen Mbita declared Lloyd Mwenda duly elected at around 22:28 hours.
