HEALTH Minister Sylvia Masebo on Thursday told Parliament that the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) procured defective Erythromycin drugs which were delivered in the last consignment. She said the drug which is part of the components of Health Centre Kits has since been recalled and the supplier, Missionpharma, has been directed to make a replacement. Sylvia MASEBO: “The government through ZAMMSA has ordered 42,000 kits which are supposed to last for a year. Whenever drugs are imported, we have another wing – ZAMRA whose job is to regulate.
