REACTIONS to the recently signed debt restructuring agreement between Zambia and its official creditors have continued to pour in. Of concern to us is the group of people that is trying to either downplay or rubbish this achievement. Others are claiming that any government, including the PF would have managed to do it. Then there are those, like Honourable Ronald Chitotela, the Pambashe Member of Parliament, who are questioning why people should celebrate this development when in essence, it means the country will now start spending on debt service, as opposed to when there was a repayment freeze.
