IT’S a pity that former president Edgar Lungu’s daughter withdrew her defamation case against us and ran away leaving former ministers Given Lubinda and Jean Kapata sweating. We would really have appreciated an opportunity to engage her over the claims she made in court after we published a story relating her links to the Mukula smuggling cartel. Our readers may wish to remember that in December 2019 when her father still had a strong grip on the reins of power, we wrote an editorial opinion in which we advised her to stay away from unexplained wealth.
