TODAY, as the Minister of Energy takes the stage in Parliament to give a ministerial statement on issues surrounding the irregularities in the award of fuel supply contracts, we continue to enlighten our parliamentarians and other concerned citizens on what went wrong. In our opinion yesterday, we gave a brief background of what led to Indeni converting into an oil marketing company, how the TAZAMA Pipeline started transporting diesel instead of crude oil and how a company called Agro Fuel was awarded the contract to clean up the pipeline, leading to the monopoly of its usage.
