THE World Bank says it has released a US$100 million concessional credit towards Zambia’s macroeconomic stability, growth and competitiveness programme. The World Bank says despite protracted delays from official bilateral creditors to discuss and finalise debt treatment under the G20’s Common Framework, Zambia continues to implement agreed structural policies toward macroeconomic stability. Earlier in October, the World Bank approved a US$275 million concessional Development Policy Financing (DPF) for Zambia in support of the country’s reforms to restore fiscal and debt sustainability and promote private sector-led growth.
