ATTORNEY General Mulilo Kabesha has submitted to the Constitutional Court that former president Edgar Lungu and his vice president, Inonge Wina, were properly sworn into office. And Kabesha says Lungu did not contravene the Constitution when he did not hand over power to the Speaker of the National Assembly during the hearing of a Presidential petition in 2016. This is in a matter where Nkulukusa Kalusa has petitioned the state in the Constitutional Court, seeking the court’s determination on whether Lungu and Wina were lawfully in office, as they had not been sworn in by the Chief Justice.
