ZESCO United Football Club has began a search for a new coach following George Lwandamina’s departure.
According to a statement on the club website today, December 28, 2016, the 2016 MTN/FAZ Super League runners up are looking for a coach to replace Lwandamina who left the club to join the Tanzanian giants; Yanga Football Club.
The club stated that it shall be receiving applications for the position of Head Coach till January 9, 2017.
Zesco appointed assistant coach Tenant Chembo after Lwandamina’s resignation on November 7 and eventual ‘big money’ move to Yanga after weeks of speculation on his departure.
The Zesco team went on to play six league games under Chembo winning five with only a loss against Mufulira wonderers and added to their trophy cabinet after beating league winners Zanaco FC in the Barclays cup final.
The Ndola giants will be expected to hire a coach with a high pedigree after making the CAF champions league semifinals this year.
