Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions (OQBP) administrative secretary Ben Saili says the stable is working towards ensuring that boxer Alfred Muwowo challenges for WBC International title in the shortest possible time.

Saili said this following Muwowo’s recent rating at the World Boxing Council (WBC) where he was placed 26, down from 39 on the latest WBC ratings.

“Our very own Alfred Muwowo has moved up on the ratings from numbers 39 to 26 in the world. Mr Malunga has been very instrumental in achieving this by attending WBC ratings meetings. This is a very positive development which not only brings joy to our stable but the nation at large. Alfred’s upcoming fight with Tanzanian Juma Fundi will give him another opportunity to climb on the ratings even higher,” said Saili.

“The management and coaching staff are working around the clock to ensure that Alfred gets crack at the WBC International title in the shortest possible time. OQBP would like to thank the African Boxing Union (ABU) for their support in ensuring that this achievement has been made possible.”
