THE Copper Queens duo of Racheal Kundananji and Esther Siamfuko has called for an end to early marriages in Zambia. The celebrated Zambian Olympians have expressed disappointment that the country loses out on talented girls who end up being victims of early marriages and substance abuse. Speaking in Chiawa Chiefdom on the Lower Zambezi where they graced a football championship, Kundananji said it pained her to hear stories of future sports stars being married off at a tender age when they were supposed to be protected and in school.
