A 26-year-old Kalomo man on Saturday murdered his wife’s 28-year-old lover as the duo was on its way to have sex in the bush.
According to Southern Province police commissioner Bonny Kapeso, Gift Nambango trailed his wife and her lover, Japhet Chilindile, to the bush before hitting the latter with a steel bar.
“A twenty-eight-year-old man has been murdered on suspicion of having extra marital affair with another man’s wife in Kalomo. Japhet Chilindile of Macraymond Compound of Kalomo was last night allegedly trailed and hit with a steel bar by another man when the deceased and woman were heading to a bush with a view of having sex. The husband pretended going out on a business trip for some days but came back the same day to investigate whether it was true that his wife had a sexual relationship with the deceased. Around 21:00 hours last night, he saw the two heading towards the bush and attacked the man who sustained two deep cuts and later died in Kalomo District Hospital,” stated Kapeso, Sunday.
“Body of the deceased is currently in Kalomo District Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
The suspect, identified as Gift Nambango, 26, has already been nabbed and is currently in police custody where he will be charged with murder.”
