Kalindula maestro Brian Chilala has died in a road traffic accident.

Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo confirmed this in a statement, saying the accident occurred at 23:40, Sunday.

“There was a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on 10th February, 2019 at 23:40 hours along Lumumba road opposite Auto World. Involved was a Motor Vehicle Mitsubishi Colt registration number ABD 9588 which was being driven by Brian Chilala, a famous musician, whose age and address is not yet kwown. The accident happened due to excessive speed, lost control of the motor vehicle and hit into a street light pole and overturned once. The body is in UTH mortuary,” stated Katongo.
