TRANSPARENCY International Zambia has commended Lands Minister Elijah Muchima for acknowledging the existence of corruption in his ministry, but has urged him to clean up his “house” before laying the blame on outsiders. Commenting on Muchima’s remarks that the public was perpetuating corruption at his ministry by not reporting officers who demand for money in order to offer a service, TI-Z Executive Director Maurice Nyambe said the Minister’s statement fell short of addressing the full scope of the problem.
