LUSAKA lawyer Makebi Zulu says broadcasting of court proceedings which are of public interest should be normal in a democracy. Zulu says Chief Justice Mumba Malila should allow live broadcasts of court proceedings because people should have access to information, especially now that police have “illegally” barred sympathisers from attending sessions. Meanwhile, Zulu, who featured on Diamond TV’s This Day programme via Zoom, Wednesday, was barely visible as his area was experiencing load shedding, joking that he would only have electricity maybe in the next 48 hours.
