MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary for Administration Christopher Simoonga says midwives will be among those prioritised in the recruitment of health workers this year to improve maternity services. Speaking when he conducted a spot check of the new Gwembe District Hospital, Wednesday, Prof Simoonga said the ministry’s efforts to reduce the staffing gap across the country were progressing positively. “We have received treasury authority from the Ministry of Finance to commence the recruitment process of health workers for the year 2024.
