UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda has dissolved the Eastern Province party structures, citing divisions that have caused misery to the party’s administration. Batuke says the decision has been partly influenced by UPND’s loss in the just ended Petauke Central parliamentary by-elections. Addressing a media briefing, Monday, Imenda said Eastern Province has had serious differences since 2021. “We want to address our administrative lacunas. Eastern Province, from 2021 when we had intra party elections, our province has serious differences. There have been camps, those people that didn’t vote for one group are enemies to the other. As a result, personal differences have trickled down from the province to the district, to constituencies and worryingly, certain positions even up to the wards....
