FORMER president Edgar Lungu’s Lawyer Isaac Simbeye says his client does not agree with the court’s decision to grab his lodge. On Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court Division, forfeited a three-storey lodge in Ibex Hill to the state, allegedly developed by Lungu. The court ruled that the lodge, owned by Charles Phiri, was reasonably suspected to be a proceeds of crime. It emphasised that neither Lungu nor Phiri provided reliable evidence demonstrating legitimate financial means to construct the property.
