POLICE have arrested and jointly charged Dylan Kalimuka of Lusaka’s Meanwood area and Patrick Washama of Mindolo West in Kitwe for allegedly obtaining K225,000 by false pretences. In a statement issued Thursday, Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Chipo Kaitisha said the two suspects fraudulently solicited funds from members of the public by impersonating Chief Hamusonde of Monze District. “The Zambia Police Service has jointly charged and arrested Dylan Biemba Kalimuka, aged 42, of House Number 169/04, Meanwood, Lusaka, and Patrick Washama, aged 48, of Plot Number 0332, Mindolo West, Kitwe, for the offence of Obtaining money by false pretences, contrary to Section 309, Cap 87 of the Penal Code of the Laws of Zambia.
