RESPECTED veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga says it’s not possible for a former president to be re-elected in Zambia, calling it a deceptive notion based on misplaced comparisons with other countries like the United States. While we hold Mr Mwaanga in high regard for his service and wisdom, we find it difficult to agree with his conclusion on this matter. As a former minister, former intelligence chief and former diplomat among other distinguished titles, Mr Mwaanga is or should be in a very good position to provide informative and accurate political analysis.
