ECONOMIST Professor Oliver Saasa says the successful activation of IMF’s successor programme will lead the country to further economic development. Prof Saasa says that the country has already achieved so much under the previous IMF Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programme. Recently government said it was confident that the country would clinch the successor programme after the August polls, stating that investors believed in the country’s story of emerging from a debt default situation.
