A 23-year-old student of High Ridge area in Kabwe has been dragged to court for allegedly forging the University of Zambia (UNZA) student Bio Data and result history forms.
In this matter, Christopher Mubanga is charged with two counts of forgery and two counts of uttering false documents.
Particulars of the offence in the first count allege that on May 30, 2019, in Lusaka, Mubanga with intent to deceive or defraud, allegedly forged University of Zambia (UNZA) student Bio Data number 1500311, purporting to show that it was genuinely issued by UNZA when in fact not.
In count two, it is alleged that Mubanga on the same date forged UNZA student Bio Data number 1500311 to Bwalya Kabeleka.
In count three, it is alleged that on May 30, 2019, in Lusaka, Mubanga with intent to deceive or defraud, forged UNZA document namely student result history number 1500311, purporting to show that it was genuinely issued by the University when in fact not.
And in count four, the accused on the same date allegedly uttered an UNZA document namely student result history number 1500311 to Bwalya Kabeleka.
The matter has been allocated to Magistrate Ammie Masoja for plea.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Kamloops Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church treasurer has denied stealing church funds of over K100,000.
In this matter, Lwiindi Muvwanga of Kalingalinga is charged with one count of theft by servant.
Particulars of the offence allege that on dates unknown, but between April 1, 2017, and 30 August 30, 2018, Muvwanga being a person employed by Kamloops Seventh Day Adventist Church stole K104,142 cash, property of the said employer.
The matter was reported to police by Kamloops SDA church elder-in-charge Fredrick Mbiiza.
And when the matter came up for plea before Magistrate Ammie Masoja, Monday, the accused pleaded not guilty.
The matter comes up on July 8, 2019, for trial.
