Police have finally released Roan PF member of parliament Chishimba Kambwili who was held at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe airport in Ndola upon arrival from South Africa where he had gone for medical check ups.

Around 12:40 hours, senior police officers instructed his lawyer Caristo Mukonka to avail his client at Woodlands Police Station at 08:00 hours tomorrow.

Earlier, his other lawyer Christopher Mundia News Diggers! in an interview saying the NDC consultant was asked to sit in the VIP lounge as immigration checked his passport upon arrival from SA.

“He was detained around 10:30 as he was about to leave for Lusaka. After immigration checked his passport, they asked him to sit in the VIP Lounge and that is where he has been with police manning the area,” said Mundia.
