An 18-year-old has been dragged to court for allegedly obtaining K22,620 by falsely pretending that he had a contract with National Assembly Motel to supply wine and whisky.
In this matter, the juvenile offender is charged with two counts of obtaining money by false pretences and uttering false documents.
In count one, it is alleged that on September 23, last year, in Lusaka, the juvenile offender knowingly and fraudulently made and uttered an invoice receipt bearing National Assembly Motel to Martha Simba.
In the second count, it is alleged that on the same date, the juvenile with intent to defraud, obtained money amounting to K22,620 by falsely pretending that he had a contract with National Assembly Motel to supply wine and whisky.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old-man of Kanyama Compound has also been dragged to court for allegedly raping two women after robbing them at their house.
In this matter, Paul Muchindu is charged with one count of aggravated robbery and two counts of rape.
In count one, it is alleged that on January 3, 2019, in Lusaka, Muchindu whilst armed with iron bars and knifes, jointly and whilst acting together with other persons unknown, did steal a television set, home theatre, two cellular phones, two hand bags, two pairs of shoes, a pressing iron, two pairs of trousers and K150 cash, all together valued at K7,535.
It is alleged that immediately before or after the time of such stealing, he did use or threatened to use actual violence in order to retain or obtain or overcome it from being stolen.
In the second count, Muchindu is alleged to have on the same date jointly and whilst acting together with other persons unknown, had unlawful carnal knowledge of a woman without her consent.
Muchindu is in the third count alleged to have on January 3, 2019, jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown had unlawful carnal knowledge of another woman without her consent.
